Lisa began her journey in the insurance industry, and at The Holt Agency, while still in high school. With more than 25 years of experience in the business, she has worked her way through each aspect of the agency and now heads the commercial lines department at Holt Proctor McBriarty Insurance Agency.
Lisa resides in Wilton with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys spending time in her yard gardening, riding her motorcycle, and training for both triathlons and road races. She also enjoys the tranquility of her farmer's porch and her travel trailer. She is also very active in her local church as a music director.
Barbara Desmarais, CIC: Vice President of Personal Lines
Barbara has been in the insurance industry for 11 years. Her ability to understand the needs of the client and attention to detail has enabled her to head the personal lines department at Holt Proctor McBriarty Insurance Agency.
Barbara resides in Milford and loves to read. Among her favorite authors are John Irving, Tom Wolfe and Oscar Wilde as she believes a great book can take you someplace magical. Barbara also loves to cook as it is a great stress reliever. Barbara is also fascinated by politics, so thus a talk radio junkie! Barbara also loves music. She likes to listen to Dave Matthews, The Beatles, Van Morrison, James Taylor and many more, but her best days always begin with Frank Sinatra.
Barbara has many loves in her life including her husband, dogs, family, and house. She loves working in her yard, mowing the lawn and hanging out at her pool. As an animal lover, she is a proud supporter of the ASPCA and the Humane Society.
April McBriarty-Weismann: VP of Business Development & Communications
April handles the marketing and communications for Holt Proctor McBriarty Insurance Agency. She has 16 years of insurance experience, but grew-up in the industry, as her father, Jack McBriarty, owned an agency throughout her childhood. April tested the waters of insurance by working in Commercial Union's claim's department, followed by running an office for a large agency in Massachusetts. She then joined the family business of McBriarty Insurance Agency in Milford where she ran the business with her father for more than 10 years.
April lives in Southern New Hampshire with her husband, Ted, and two small boys. She enjoys traveling, music, running and cooking.
David Trudo, LUTCF: Director of Life & Health
Dave is our Life & Health Insurance Specialist. He joined the agency 22 years ago to work with his father, Vern Trudo. Dave's reputation for helpfulness and problem solving has brought him great success, particularly in the field of health insurance. He is proud to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of The New Hampshire Health Plan and is a member of Anthem's Producer Advisory Council. He is also a winner of Anthem's Premier Partner program for 2012.
Dave and his wife, Jan, live in Weare with two horses and two retired racing greyhounds. Dave is a bicycle and motorcycle enthusiast. His collection includes two classic motorcycles from the 60s that he has restored and loves to ride.
Edwina Burke: Personal Risk Control Specialist
Edwina is a seasoned professional who joined The Holt Agency nearly 40 years ago. She was drawn to the insurance industry while in high school as she worked part time for Liberty Mutual. Edwina has knowledge, experience and credentials to select the best carrier and product to meet the client's needs. She also has the interest and empathy to ensure she clearly understands the customer's objectives and ensure that they are comfortable with her recommendations. As a result of her service to the clients, she has developed long-term relationships that date back to her beginning years at The Holt Agency.
Edwina is dedicated to her family, committed to her church and is an avid sports fan. She rarely misses a Red Sox, Celtics or Patriots game. She also enjoys bowling, shopping and going to the beach in her spare time.
Lloyd Butler: Territory Manager
Lloyd has 40 years of commercial insurance experience which has resulted in a detailed understanding of the client and sales relationship. This experience has not only allowed him to become skilled in presenting detailed explanations of coverage to employers of both small and large companies, but also gives him the ability to negotiate with insurance companies for the best coverage.
Lloyd served in the United States Air Force as a flight commander in the Canine Corps. He also served as president of the Nashua Kiwanis Club and was a former parent advisor to STOPP, an anti-peer pressure group for teens. His interests include his family, woodworking and traveling. He is an active member of his church where he has served on the Outreach Board, Diaconate and Ushering Committees.
Cathy Casale, ACSR: Commercial Risk Control Specialist
Cathy is a Commercial Risk Control Specialist. She has been in the industry for 24 years and is currently serving on the Agent's Advisory Council for Peerless Insurance Company.
Cathy lives in Peterborough and is an avid gardener, reader, movie-buff and bargain shopper. She loves to search for an old treasure and refurbish it. She also loves decorating, architecture, card making, scrapbooking and photography.
Monica Clearwater: Personal Risk Control Specialist
Monica is a Personal Risk Control Specialist with more than 21 years of insurance experience. Monica began her insurance career at Travelers back in 1990 after moving from Southern California. She soon realized she wanted more interaction directly with the customer, which lead her to the agency side of insurance.
Monica's second language is Spanish. She is active in The Business & Professional Women of New Hampshire. In her spare time she loves to head to Foxwoods, play Farmville, curl up to a book or listen to music.
Tina Graves: Accounting
Tina handles the accounting, human resources and purchasing for the agency. She has been with the agency since 2002 and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and office management. Tina has a BS/BA degree in Business Administration.
Tina and her husband, Peter, have been married for more than 25 years and are happy bringing up their son and daughter in Southern New Hampshire. She enjoys outdoor activities including walking the dog, snowmobiling, hiking and being at the beach. She also enjoys traveling, reading, baking and photography.
Nichole Johnson: Personal Risk Control Specialist
Nichole began working in the insurance industry in 2002 when she worked in customer service at National Grange Mutual. She obtained her Property and Casualty license in 2005 and an Accident, Life & Health license in 2007. Her breadth of insurance skill allows her to better educate clients about gaps they may have in their insurance program.
Nichole currently resides in Peterborough with her husband and three dogs. She actively volunteers for Monadnock Youth Diversion, which helps mentor troubled youth. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, photography and bowling.
Vicki Keskinen: Agency Support
Vicki began working in the insurance industry in 1969. Her longevity in the field has made her incredibly knowledgeable about the different aspects of insurance. She is a team player who is willing to step in with customer service or specific projects.
Vicki is a life-long resident of Milford and has an MA in Theology from Notre Dame College in Manchester, New Hampshire. She is a part-time co-coordinator of Christian Education at the First Congregational Church in Milford. She is also a member of the Association of Christian Educators.
Lyndsay Lee: Commercial Risk Control Specialist
Lyndsay has been in the insurance industry since 2007. She has experience in both personal and commercial lines, so is able to guide clients through the different scenarios each risk may present.
Lyndsay is an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, and enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, traveling and reading.
Cathy Magee: Personal Risk Control Specialist
Cathy is a Personal Lines Risk Specialist with more than 33 years of experience in the insurance industry. Cathy is a life-long resident of Wilton which has allowed her to establish long and trusted relationships with area clients.
Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband and Springer Spaniel, Maddie. She also enjoys traveling to new places, sharing with friends and enjoying the great outdoors.
Jack McBriarty: Territory Manager
Jack has spent more than 50 years in the insurance industry. He began his career in the mail room at Fireman's Fund and worked his way up to agency owner, where he ran McBriarty Insurance Agency in Milford for nearly 25 years. Recently he decided to merge with Holt Insurance Agency and Proctor Insurance Agency so he could focus on what he loves best about insurance: talking to different people.
Jack enjoys spending time with his wife, Judy, and four grandchildren. He also enjoys working out, gardening and going for long drives. He is an avid sports fan, but particularly likes watching the Red Sox and Patriots.
Barbara Perkins: Personal Lines Processor & Download Specialist
Barbara began working in the insurance industry in 1967. She has had the opportunity to work in both company and agency positions. She joined the Holt Insurance Agency team in 1995 where she worked in customer service and claims management.
Barbara spends her extra time as a committee member and merit badge counselor to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 19 of Nashua. "I find that treating them with laughs and respect gives them a feeling of really belonging to an organization," said Barbara.
Barbara also enjoys traveling. She has been to many islands and countries, with Alaska being her favorite spot. Above all, she also enjoys spending time with family.
Mary Ward: Agency Support
After many years of working as a pre-school teacher, Mary joined the agency in 2004 as the administrative assistant. It is Mary who may answer your call or greet you when you come in for a visit. She truly enjoys meeting our area business owners and local residents.
When Mary is not at the front desk she may be browsing a bookstore or antique shop. She enjoys spending time with her three adult children and first grandchild. Mary also finds time to volunteer as a facilitator for children and teen grief recovery groups through Hospice.

Shelley Barringer: Territory Manager
Shelley is our newest Commercial Lines Producer. She became licensed in November 2011 and is eager to put her risk managing skills to work in the community. Shelley has a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Maine, Orono.
Shelley grew up in a military family, but currently resides in Milford, NH with her 2 sons and their cat, Cassie. Shelley treasures her time with family and also enjoys rides on the motorcycle, time at the gym, gardening, decorating her home, cooking, and baking. She loves to socialize and designates a few nights a week to her friends for trying out new restaurants.
